OK, here’s a word of warning for any clothing line owners that fancy the idea of using celebrity names and song lyrics to adorn their threads…
DON’T DO IT!
Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, Kanye West and others, have teamed up to sue the French fashion label; Eleven Paris for featuring their faces and using various quotes from their songs and otherwise, WITHOUT their permission!
Apparently, Beyoncé tried to be nice about the situation and sent the brand several cease and desist letters but having initially ignored all contact, they continued to sell the offending products. As a result, the Queen Bey decided to take matters into her own hands prompting the others to do the same.
Bey Bey has not only requested that Eleven Paris cease selling certain products that are in anyway affiliated with them, but she has also demanded they pay the legal fees and repay any profits they may have made off the items.
Now we all know Beyoncé doesn’t need the cash…this is principle here!
